Robinia pseudoacacia 'Lace Lady' (PBR)

false acacia 'Lacy Lady' ( syn. Robinia pseudoacacia 'Twisty Baby' )

Product Image
A distinctive slow-growing deciduous tree with charming and unusual twisted stems and curly leaves. The foliage emerges a refreshing lime green with multiple pairs of rounded leaflets, transforming into a beautiful buttery yellow in autumn. This dwarf member of the Black Locust family boasts fragrant white flowers hanging delicately from its curled branches in summer. Ideal for large patio pots, 'Lace Lady' offers an architecturally pleasing addition to any outdoor space.

How to care for Robinia pseudoacacia Lace Lady' (PBR):

Plant Robinia in a sunny spot with free-draining soil, setting it at the same depth it grew in the pot and watering well in the first couple of seasons to help it root in. Keep the area around the base clear of weeds, mulch lightly each spring to hold moisture, and avoid digging near the root zone as this encourages suckers. Stake firmly.

Shelter the tree from strong winds, prune only lightly in mid to late summer, and remove any suckers as soon as they appear.
