Cercis canadensis Lavender Twist ('Covey')

redbud Lavender Twist

Product Image
A weeping form of American redbud, which is a great little tree for smaller gardens. In early spring, it really puts on a dazzling show when its bare branches are laden with good-sized clusters of lilac-pink flowers. As these fade, lush green heart-shaped foliage appears and this turns buttery shades in the autumn. This plant will happily grow in a large pot, provided it is kept well fed and watered.

How to care for Cercis canadensis Lavender Twist ('Covey'):

Plant in their final location when young as they resent being transplanted. Requires minimal pruning. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches in late autumn or winter. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly.
