Fill your garden with scent and colour using a compact climber that’s made for smaller spaces. Clusters of tubular flowers appear over a long season, opening from rich, mulberry-toned buds into soft pink and cream blooms before ageing to warm golden hues, giving a multi-tonal effect all on one plant.

Lonicera periclymenum 'Chic et Choc' offers that classic honeysuckle fragrance, best enjoyed planted near a doorway, seating area or path where you can catch it as you pass.

With its naturally neat, bushy habit, it’s ideal for containers, low supports or weaving gently through a mixed border without taking over. It grows well in sun or light shade and brings in pollinators throughout its extended flowering period, helping keep the garden lively from early summer into autumn.

How to care for Lonicera periclymenum Chic et Choc ('Inov205') (PBR):

Plant in sun or light shade in fertile, well-drained soil, ideally with the roots kept cool and the top growth in good light. It’s well suited to smaller gardens, working nicely on a low support, obelisk or allowed to weave lightly through neighbouring plants without becoming overwhelming. Water regularly while establishing, then only in prolonged dry spells, and feed in spring to encourage strong flowering.

For containers, use a loam-based or good quality multi-purpose compost with added grit for drainage, and choose a pot at least 30-40cm (12-16in) wide, initially. Keep well watered in summer and feed regularly, as plants in pots will dry out more quickly. Provide a small support for stems to climb and tie in as needed.

Prune after flowering to keep shape and encourage fresh growth, removing any weak or congested stems. Position near paths or seating areas where the fragrance can be enjoyed.
