A spectacular flowering tree known for its prolific dark wine-red blooms up to 2.5cm long (1in) that flower on bare stems before the large, lustrous heart-shaped leaves emerge with a pinkish tinge. The foliage of this deciduous, spreading redbud cultivar matures to bright green in summer before turning brilliant yellow and occasionally orange or red in autumn. Hardy and adaptable, ‘Oklahoma’ develops into a fabulous 3-season, multi-stemmed tree for small gardens.
