Niwaki Mainichi secateurs

A great all-rounder for garden pruning, these premium Niwaki Japanese steel secateurs are a cut above.

The sharp carbon steel blade and simple direct action give them a clean and efficient cut. They will tackle growth up to 15mm thick, depending on plant type - and how strong you’re feeling.

The chunky catch is easy to secure with gloved hands, and the yellow grips stand out among soil and green growth so you won’t easily lose them.

Care for your pair

Look after your secateurs by only using them on plant matter - never wire, stone, plastic or other hard materials - and always cutting on the diagonal. Use the base of the blades rather than the tip for heavier cuts and never twist them or apply uneven pressure.

Clean and dry the blades after every use (a Clean Mate and water are great for removing rust, sap and leaf resin), apply a coat of camellia oil and store in a dry place. Sharpen every couple of weeks or as needed.
