Mixed into potting compost, this natural coarse vermiculite (3-6mm) helps it stay evenly moist without becoming heavy or compacted. The granules hold up to four times their weight in water and release it gradually - ideal for supporting seedlings and plants that don't like to dry out.
At the same time, it keeps the structure open and airy enough for roots to breathe and establish well. Suitable for seed starting, cuttings, transplanting, houseplants and anywhere you want more consistent moisture through the compost.
How to use:
Mix one part vermiculite with two-three parts compost for general potting. Can also be used as a light surface dressing for seed trays, pots and containers.
Store in a dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
