Copper trays / shelves - set of 4
Set of 4 solid brushed copper trays, ideal for taking rows of small pots for display on windowsills or shelves. Before use, we recommend filling them with water and letting them stand on a dry surface for 24 hours, then checking with a wipe of tissue paper to be extra sure they're watertight.
The copper surface is left untreated so it can age in a completely natural way in its raw state, achieving truly authentic earthy hues and tones. This ‘living’ finish is impossible to achieve under any other method or surface application.
It also allows for the surface to be restored to a brushed finish if required using a little elbow grease and the scouring pad provided. The ageing process does require some time to develop, so in the first instance it may appear blotchy, but this will only improve with age.
Please note: if used outdoors the copper will develop an elegant natural patina, but this can be buffed back to the original lustre with the scouring pad provided.
