Viola × wittrockiana 'Cool Wave Strawberry Swirl'

pansy (syn. Viola × wittrockiana)

Product Image
Cascading with remarkable vigour, this truly trailing cultivated variety offers the most prostrate habit of any spreading pansy, making it exceptionally versatile for hanging baskets, pots and small area groundcover areas.

The artistic bicolour flowers showcase soft yellow petals dramatically flushed with rich maroon-purple, particularly on the upper petals, whilst bold dark purple lines radiate from deep golden-yellow centres below.

Viola × wittrockiana 'Cool Wave Strawberry Swirl' delivers superior overwintering hardiness and returns earliest in spring amongst the rest of the wave series. The flat-faced, rounded blooms reach up to 5cm (2in) across, creating spectacular displays in hanging baskets, large containers and border displays.
