Weave these through your border and you will have lashings of intense blue flowers, which appear in open spires throughout the summer. They look stunning when planted against a silver backdrop, or team them with virtually any shade of pink, or go bold and team with maroon, plum and and strong purples.
How to care for Salvia Blue Note (PBR):
To prolong flowering remove the flower spikes as soon they start to fade. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring. Protect from excessive cold and waterlogged soils.
