Primula 'Bonneli Flame'

A fiery, brilliant red primula with a bright yellow centre, Primula 'Bonneli Flame' is a compact, fully hardy semi-evergreen perennial that combines well with similarly coloured spring bulbs for a striking early season show, either in pots, containers or border edges.
How to care for Primula Bonneli Flame:
For use as winter/spring bedding plants, plant primulas into fresh, free-draining compost and position pots and baskets in a bright, sheltered spot, avoiding harsh midday sun. Water well after planting, keep the compost just moist through winter, remove faded flowers regularly, and protect containers from prolonged hard frost to keep plants tidy and flowering well.
Alternatively, plant out in a partially shaded and sheltered position, adding position, adding plenty of leaf mould and compost to the planting hole and backfill. Water well until established.
Divide large clumps in late spring or early summer after the plant has flowered, preferably during a wet spell.
