This slow-growing, upright pine bears soft, eye-catching needles that emerge twisted in bundles of 5, with silvery-blue undersides and dark green upper surfaces creating an architectural, bi-coloured texture. Plant in a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil, avoiding heavy clay or waterlogged areas. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and the width of the root ball and the same depth, gently loosen the roots, and position the tree so the top of the root ball sits level with the surrounding soil.
