Product Image
The foliage of this compact, evergreen shrub is attractively variegated, but in spring, the new growth emerges with a pinkish red flush. At around the same time, pendent clusters of white, lily-of-the-valley-like flowers appear, further adding to the overall appeal. Ideally suited to pots (filled with ericaceous compost), or front of border positions, Pieris japonica 'Little Heath' is perfect for brightening up a small patio or courtyard garden.

How to care for Pieris japonica Little Heath:

Choose a location with shelter from cold winter winds. Add composted pine needles or ericaceous compost when planting and apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch each year around the base of the plant in early spring. Remove the faded flower-heads in late spring along with any frost-damaged foliage.
