Nemesia Myrtille ('Fleurmyr') (PBR)

Product Image
A real colour booster for summer displays, this compact bedding plant packs a punch with clusters of rich purple-blue flowers, each highlighted by a subtle red-tinted eye that adds depth and contrast. The neat, upright habit and fresh green foliage keep everything looking tidy, making it easy to slot into patio pots, hanging baskets, or the front of a sunny border where it won’t swamp its neighbours.

Flowers are generously sized and lightly fragrant, appearing in abundance over a long season, especially if spent blooms are regularly removed to keep the show going. Although usually grown as a bedding plant in the UK, it can be treated as a tender perennial in a sheltered spot. Nemesia Myrtille is a low-fuss choice that delivers strong colour, structure, and reliability.

How to care for Nemesia Myrtille ('Fleurmyr') (PBR):

Our bedding range and bedding collections (where available) are offered as seedlings, cuttings, and potted plants.

Pot up seedlings and cuttings and grow them on under glass until the risk of frost has passed. Once conditions are warmer, they can be planted directly into well-prepared beds, or used to fill patio pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets for long-lasting seasonal colour. Larger 9cm bedding plants don’t usually need potting on but will benefit from initial frost protection in spring.

To keep bedding plants looking their best, and where applicable, pinch out the tips to promote bushier growth and water regularly, especially in containers where compost dries out quickly. Feed with a high-potash fertiliser every couple of weeks to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead faded blooms, as required, to extend the display and keep plants tidy, ensuring vibrant summer flowers from planting time right through to the first frosts.
