In early spring, the stems of this gorgeous magnolia are laden with large scented flowers, each of which is made up of bicoloured cream and raspberry petals. A relatively recent introduction, it's compact enough for large pots (provided it is kept well fed and watered), and it's also ideal for smaller gardens.
