Helianthemum 'Ben Hope'

rock rose

Product Image
This undemanding and easy to grow, ground-cover is a gorgeous sight in late spring and summer when its low mound of grey-green foliage is studded with yellow-eyed, pinkish red flowers. Sun-loving and drought-tolerant (once established), Helianthemum 'Ben Hope' looks great in gravel gardens or alpine beds, and it's also useful for softening the edges of a path or spilling over the rim of a pot.

How to care for Helianthemum Ben Hope:

Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot, adding grit if needed, and water until established. Once settled they require lower maintenence, only occasional water in long dry spells and a light, granular-based fertiliser feed in spring. After flowering in summer, lightly trim stems to keep the plant neat and bushy, but avoid cutting into old woody growth which won’t regenerate.
