Grow 'Kleim's Hardy' outdoors in a warm, sheltered position, either in borders or containers in moist but well-drained, acid or neutral soil in partial or light dappled shade.
Water regularly, ideally with rainwater, until fully established. Tap water contains lime and over time, reduces the soil acidity. If watering with tap water, we advise a regular application of sequestered iron or sulphur chips to the pot compost or soil to boost the soil acidity.
Alternatively, grow under glass in lime-free compost in bright, filtered light with high humidity.
