Partially self-fertile, it will produce a bigger crop if planted near other strawberries, and will produce tasty, orange-red fruit in early to midsummer. Cropping times may be brought forward or extended if you are growing them in a greenhouse or cloche tunnel.

How to care for Fragaria × ananassa framberry Red Dream:
Fragaria thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic soil in full sun to partial shade. Plant these wild strawberries about 20-30cm (8-12in) apart in a sunny border or container, enriching the soil with plenty of compost or well-rotted manure.
Water regularly during dry spells but avoid waterlogging their shallow roots. Mulch with straw or leaf mould to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Thin overcrowded clumps and divide them every few years to maintain vigour.
Apply a balanced fertiliser in early spring to boost growth and fruiting.
