Echeveria agavoides

moulded wax succulent

Product Image
Echeveria agavoides is one of the larger forms, with stemless, pale green, triangular-ovate leaves, edged in red to a pointed tip slowly grow into a beautiful rosette shape. In summer, a realtively tall stem rises above the succulent crown, topped with lantern-shaped red flowers, each with a splash of yellow on the petal tips.

Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a simple nursery pot). They do however make excellent potted plants, and if you wish to pot yours up, we do have a wide range of pots on our website to choose from.

How to care for Echeveria agavoides:

Echeverias are low-maintenance succulents that thrive with minimal attention, making them ideal for pots. For best results, plant them in a gritty, well-draining compost mix, ideally in an unglazed pot with generous drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

When planting, only water if the soil is completely dry. Once established, water sparingly and only when needed, taking care to avoid getting water into the central rosette, as this can cause rot. Keep the plant in a warm, even environment and handle gently, as the leaves are delicate and easily damaged.
