blueberry 'Pink Lemonade'

blueberry pink lemonade or Vaccinium 'Pink Lemonade'

Product Image
A new, easy to grow and fascinating plant, that will produce delicious pink blueberries! The fruits form without the need of a pollination partner, after the bell-shaped, pinkish-white flowers (which appear in spring) have faded. Initially a pale green, they first become flushed with pink, but turn a deep pink when they are fully ripe and ready to pick.

A mid- to late season blueberry, the berries of 'Pink Lemonade' have a lovely mild flavour and a firm flesh.

How to care for blueberry Pink Lemonade:

Prepare the planting site by ensuring acidic, well-drained soil, and improve it with ericaceous compost if needed. Blueberries also do well in large pots filled with ericaceous compost.

Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Prune in winter by removing dead, damaged, or weak branches to encourage healthy growth. After pruning, feed lightly in spring and add a layer of ericaceous mulch to help retain moisture and maintain soil acidity.

Harvest the berries when they are fully ripe and have a deep colour, picking regularly to encourage more fruit.
