blueberry 'Darrow'

blueberry - late season fruiting or Vaccinium 'Darrow'

Product Image
Introduced in 1965, this well established blueberry is still sought after for its ability to produce a good crop of firm, larger than average berries, which have a slightly tart flavour. Ready to harvest late in the season, they can be eaten straight off the bush, or used for making jams or pies.

How to care for blueberry Darrow:

Prepare the ground well before planting. Blueberries can also be grown in large pots and containers if ericaceous compost is used. Prune in winter, cutting out dead or damaged branches. In spring, feed with sulphate of ammonia, sulphate of potash and bonemeal and top-dress with ericaceous compost.
