This collection brings together softly scented, elegant spring bulbs and cool-toned pansies for a fresh, calming display from late winter into mid-spring. Expect clusters of creamy white and yellow daffodils, delicate sky-blue muscari, and trailing pansies with frosted white and blue blooms. Ideal for pots, window boxes or natural-style borders, this mix is great for pollinators and easy to grow. A lovely option for anyone after a light, airy spring feel with long-lasting seasonal interest.

How to care for 100 days of whites & blues pot collection:
Using fresh, good-quality compost, plant bulbs in pots from September to November. For borders, we advise waiting until after the first frosts (typically mid-October to early December depending on your location) to reduce the risk of potential disease such as Tulip Fire. Plant bulbs 15-20cm (6-8in) deep and 10-15cm (4-6in) apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Alternatively, allow 7-9 bulbs per 30cm sq or 60-75 bulbs per m². If you’re unable to plant your bulbs immediately, they can be stored in a cool environment with good air circulation. Remove all the packaging and place them in a loose-weave jute sack before labelling and hanging up in a dry, unheated garden shed or well-ventilated greenhouse.
For the pansies in this collection, plant out in compost or well-drained, humus-rich soil that is not frozen or prone to waterlogging. Protect young plants from slug and snail damage using environmentally friendly pellets, beer traps or alternative methods available in our slug and snail control selection. Deadhead the spent blooms to prolong flowering.
In spring, when the plants are in active growth, apply a high-potash fertiliser (like Tomorite) each week until the leaves start to die back. Pinch off the spent flower heads as the petals fall, and let the stem and foliage die back naturally. The bulbs can then be lifted and discarded, or cleaned, dried and stored (as before) for replanting the following autumn.
In containers, plant grape hyacinth 10cm (4in) deep, using a well-draining potting mix. Ensure good drainage and consider moving pots to a sheltered spot during summer dormancy to prevent waterlogging from heavy rains or irrigation equipment.

20 × Narcissus 'Thalia': Fantastically fragrant and producing between two and four creamy white flowers on each 35-40cm tall stem, this elegant Triandrus daffodil comes highly recommended. Typically appearing from March to April, the star-shaped flowers of ‘Thalia’ are rich in pollen and nectar, and can last a week or so in the vase once cut. Grows to 40cm.
10 × Narcissus 'Avalanche': This daffodil can produce up to 15 flowers per stem. Vigorous, very fragrant and award winning, it is definitely worth including in your spring garden. The mid-season flowers consist of white petals that frame a small yellow acorn cup. Grows to 40cm.
15 x Muscari 'Peppermint': Small ice blue flowers, each with a fine white lip, form in conical spikes that rise above the slender foliage in mid-spring. It looks wonderful when allowed to form generous swathes, particularly in a woodland or meadow-style setting, and it also looks very sweet in patio pots, window boxes and alpine beds. Grows to 20cm.
6 × pansy 'Cool Wave Frost': A cool season favourite that produces breathtaking displays with its frosty white and blue blooms that intensify in cooler weather. Grows to 15cm.
