This is a small, manageable version of Sneeboer’s transplanting spade, resized to allow kneeling use. It’s solidly put together and the narrow V-cut blade is direct and punchy. You can exert plenty of force to ease it through soil and roots.

An especially useful tool for precision work where space is restricted, for example in crowded borders. You can lift and move plants without disturbing anything growing nearby.

Forged from stainless steel, polished and sharpened by hand and fitted with an FSC ash wood T-handle. When dried, ash is one of the lightest, toughest hardwoods available as it absorbs shocks without splintering.

Supplied with a 10-year guarantee on steel parts (1 year for the handle).
