Rectangular Victorian growhouse - chalky white

In smaller spaces, plants and accessories have to earn their place. They must be useful as well as looking good. This rectangular plant house is designed with this in mind, with the capacity to protect and bring on seedlings, cuttings and smaller plants.

Creating warm, humid conditions to promote plant growth, the snug-fit lid can be taken off or rotated for ventilation and watering. Inside, the removable metal base tray makes it easy to lift out your plants when needed.

The lid, sides, tray and base are all separate components, and to assemble the growhouse you simply stack them on top of each other. You can also use them in combinations for other uses such as a cloche over the plants when they are transferred to the garden, making it useful all year round.

Made from glass and mild steel powder coated with a chalky white finish.

Care and maintenance

Always place on flat, level ground. Handle glass panes with care and site well away from areas it may be knocked.

To protect the steel from rust or staining, clean it regularly with mild soap and a sponge or soft cloth to remove bird droppings, sap and dirt. If any scratches or chips occur, immediately seal them with touch-up paint to prevent water from reaching the bare metal (make sure the surface is clean and free from grease and dust before applying).

Any patches that show signs of rusting can be buffed back with steel wool or a wire brush and coated with a suitable sealant.
