A handsome set of solid brass tools for the potting bench, designed to make sowing and raising seedlings that bit more satisfying. Weighty, beautifully made and built for years of use, the untreated brass will gradually soften in tone and develop a rich natural patina. A special gift for a keen gardener, or a very nice upgrade for your own potting shed.
Packed in a jute bag, each set contains:
- Brass soil potting scoop - hand formed from solid brass, with a neat pouring edge for directing fine compost into small pots and modules with less mess.
- Brass dibber and pot tamper - a clever double-ended tool for sowing and potting on. Use the pointed dibber and centimetre markings to make planting holes at the right depth, and turn it over to gently firm the compost.
- Brass seedling pricker - made for the fiddly work of pricking out young seedlings. The fine fork teases out delicate roots, with a small scoop at the other end for making neat planting holes for potting on.
