Niwaki mainichi snips

These superb lightweight snips are a brilliant go-to tool for everyday light pruning, cutting back, deadheading and harvesting. A perfect all-rounder to keep with you on garden strolls (you’ll never lose them with those sunny yellow vinyl grips).

The carbon steel blades cut through stems up to 5mm thick with a simple direct action, producing a clean, efficient cut. The chunky safety catch easily snaps open and shut (even with freezing hands or muddy gloves) and the spring is well secured so you won’t need to worry about it popping out.

Care for your pair

Look after your secateurs by only using them on plant matter - never wire, stone, plastic or other hard materials - and always cutting on the diagonal. Use the base of the blades rather than the tip for heavier cuts and never twist them or apply uneven pressure.

Clean and dry the blades after every use (a Clean Mate and water are great for removing rust, sap and leaf resin), apply a coat of camellia oil and store in a dry place. Sharpen every couple of weeks or as needed.
