Long barn Victorian growhouse

This is a long, slender version of our original Victorian growhouse. An ideal shape for sitting on or alongside garden walls, where it’ll soak up the extra heat.

All the parts are separate layers that simply stack together. Fully assembled, you can place in small pots or seed trays to bring them on in spring. When they’re ready to plant out, you can use the top two layers as a protective cloche to help them establish in the garden.

The lid can be taken off for ventilation and watering, and the removable metal base tray makes it easy to lift out your plants when needed. Made from glass and mild steel and powder coated with a chalky white finish.

Care and maintenance

Always place on flat, level ground. Handle glass panes with care and site well away from areas it may be knocked.

To protect the steel from rust or staining, clean it regularly with mild soap and a sponge or soft cloth to remove bird droppings, sap and dirt. If any scratches or chips occur, immediately seal them with touch-up paint to prevent water from reaching the bare metal (make sure the surface is clean and free from grease and dust before applying).

Any patches that show signs of rusting can be buffed back with steel wool or a wire brush and coated with a suitable sealant.
