An exquisite cottage garden inspired cut flower collection, curated for the discerning gardener and florist using pink, white, and orange, easy to grow annuals.

The collection contains one packet of seeds for each of the plants listed below. They will all come with their own specific sowing instructions.

  • Eschscholzia californica 'Orange King': Fabulous for a feast of fiery orange blooms with delicate silvery-grey foliage, ‘Orange King’ is a popular, long-flowering, bushy hardy annual providing months of colour scattered around path edges, as a border filler or in pots and containers. Grows to 45cm.

  • Cosmos bipinnatus 'Hummingbird Lilac': 'Hummingbird Lilac' presents an array of charming, pale lilac tubular flowers with yellow centres on compact, bushy plants. This modest height variety, with its neat growth habit, offers a delightful display of unique blooms throughout most of the summer, making it perfect for borders and patio pots. Its attractive and unusual flowers not only adorn the garden but also entice bees and various pollinators, making it an ideal choice for the cut flower and wildlife enthusiast. Grows to 45cm.

  • Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Fizzy White’: A bushy, upright, half-hardy annual cosmos with clear white, semi-double, daisy-like petals centred with a button of warm golden 'true' flowers. Finely-divided foliage adds to the charm of this popular cut-flower that reliably blooms, with regular deadheading, from summer into autumn. It's very easy to grow and makes an invaluable addition to the cutting garden or as a summer infill. Grows to 1m.

  • Ammi majus : Dainty white flowerheads that look like lacework are born in summer and seem to hover in a frothy haze above the finely cut, green foliage. The flowers are often used by florists to add a ethereal, romantic feel to bouquets, and they can last up to 10 days after being cut. This annual also looks a delight in the garden, and has quite an architectural feel. Once the flowers have faded and the seeds have ripened, they will attract finches to the garden. Grows to 1.5m.

  • Garden care:
Seedlings should be potted up and grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can be planted outside in a well-prepared bed. Pinch out the growing tips to encourage bushier growth, and feed at regular intervals throughout summer with a high-potash fertiliser. Taller plants may need supporting with brushwood stems in exposed positions.
