The outer petals of these gently ruffled, double-petalled flowers are a soft creamy white, while the inner segments are a zesty citrus yellow. This combination offers a fresh colourway, that looks beautiful when woven through the border or added to pots. 'Salou' is a daffodil whose flowers are also excellent for cutting, and have a good vase life when kept in a cool room.
How to care for Narcissus Salou:
Wearing gloves plant bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10cm apart in autumn. After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, deadhead the flowers, but do not be tempted to cut back or tidy the foliage after flowering as this will interfere with the bulbs’ ability to store energy for the following year’s flowers.
