Dichromena colorata is a late season 'star performer' with attractive green and white, stella-shaped bracts (modified leaves), which rise above the grass-like foliage from July and persist into November. A slowly spreading aquatic perennial, it's well suited to smaller gardens/ponds, prefers a boggy site.
How to care for Dichromena colorata:
Grow in fertile wet or permanently moist ground in sun or partial shade.
Little maintenance is required for star grass. Leaving foliage in place will protect new shoots over the winter.
Trim just above the water surface in late spring when new shoots appear.
