Buddleja Little White (’BotEx 003’) (PBR) (Butterfly Candy Series)
butterfly bush (syn. buddleia)
This shrub is deciduous so it will lose all its leaves in autumn, then fresh new foliage appears again each spring.
- Position: full sun
- Soil: fertile, well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: fast-growing
- Flowering period: July to September
- Hardiness: fully hardy
This compact shrub is undemanding and easy to grow - and in summer, it's packed full of butterfly attracting flowers. Reaching just under a metre in height, what 'Little White' lacks in stature it more than makes up for in impact, and being so compact, it's easy to find a place for it - either in the border or on the patio. - Garden care: Prune back hard in March, removing all of the previous year's growth to three or four buds.
