A BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Best Buy winner, these classic Japanese secateurs are drop forged and hand-finished to an exceptional standard.

Comfortable and well-balanced in hand, the carbon steel blade slices stems cleanly and holds a keen edge.

The sturdy spring and chunky safety catch give them a pleasing robustness, and the bright yellow grips mean you won’t lose sight of them easily. A replacement spring is included for peace of mind.

A great reliable choice for people who spend a lot of time in the garden, whether for pleasure or profession.

Care for your pair

Look after your secateurs by only using them on plant matter - never wire, stone, plastic or other hard materials - and always cutting on the diagonal. Use the base of the blades rather than the tip for heavier cuts and never twist them or apply uneven pressure.

Clean and dry the blades after every use (a Clean Mate and water are great for removing rust, sap and leaf resin), apply a coat of camellia oil and store in a dry place. Sharpen every couple of weeks or as needed.
