Forged from a single piece of boron steel, this weighty pointed spade packs a little more punch than a traditional spade.

The heaviest in DeWit’s range, the hardworking and substantial tool benefits from a sharp point and longer cutting edge to make it easier to slice into firm ground. Ideally suited to breaking up root-laden, compacted and heavy clay soils.

The extended steel collet is bolted to an impact-resistant solid ash shaft for exceptional strength and can be easily retightened when needed. A chunky ergonomic T-grip makes it comfortable to hold for any hand size.

A great companion for long days of gardening or landscaping in hard or virgin ground.

Please note: take care not to place excessive strain on wooden handles when levering out roots or rocks in very firm soil. To help, water the area well to soften ground first. A crowbar may be more suitable for very heavy or stubborn obstacles.

N.B. The shape of the T handle has recently been changed to taper slightly at each end (see our DeWit small fork with long T handle for the current design).
