Pachyphragma macrophyllum

pachyphragma

Product Image
Providing a carpet of heart-shaped foliage, Pachyphragma macrophyllum is an ideal groundcover for a woodland floor or for spilling over the front edge of a partially shaded bed. Small clusters of cabbage-like, white flowers appear in early spring and these are followed by distinctive seed pods. Unfortunately the flowers do not have a particulary pleasant smell, but they look very sweet - just avoid planting it near a well-trodden path, or pinch them off when they appear.
