Mother's day ruffle bowl kit
If you’d like a gift that lasts longer than cut flowers, our planting kits are a lovely way to treat mum. For this one we’ve paired our terracotta ruffle bowl with the following so mum can plant up this gorgeous spring display:
Primula 'Cottage Cream' × 3
Hedera helix × 3
Nephrolepis exaltata 'Montana' × 1
Asplenium nidus 'Crispy Wave' (PBR) × 1
The hand-thrown bowl is glazed inside to make the clay slightly less porous, so the finished display would work well as a centrepiece on a garden table. Each is fired at high temperatures for durability and frost resistance, though we do recommend protecting it over the winter months.
Please note: a little extra compost will be needed to pack around the plants and fill the bowl.
