With violet-blue, fragrant flowers appearing in late spring, 'Phenomenal' is a compact, evergreen shrub with narrow grey-green leaves and uniform habit. Noted for its larger than average flowers and strong stems, which don't tend to flop, cut it back after the first flush of flowers fade, and a second flush will be produced in late summer. Ideal for lining the edges of a path, offering a long season of interest to a patio pot, or filling gaps at the front of a sunny border.
How to care for Lavandula × intermedia Phenomenal ('Niko') (PBR):
Cut back the stalks after the flowers have faded to retain a compact shape. Carefully trim back in April, taking care not to cut into old wood.
