A brilliant choice for adding height and colour to a sunny border, with upright flower spikes rising above aromatic foliage. Agastache rugosa Beelicious Blue produces densely packed whorls of tubular, two-lipped flowers in rich lilac-blue, flowering from midsummer well into autumn and providing a long-lasting source of nectar for bees and butterflies.
Its compact, bushy habit makes it equally useful in cottage garden planting, herbaceous borders and containers. The dark green, oval to lance-shaped leaves release a pleasant fragrance when brushed past, adding another layer of interest to this hardworking summer perennial.
Please note that any pots in the photographs are not supplied with the plants (which are sent out in simple nursery alternatives), but we have a wide and wonderful range on our website to choose from.

How to care for Agastache rugosa Beelicious Blue ('Agabl') (PBR):
Plant in a well-prepared bed, lightly conditioned with well-rotted compost or manure.
Keep cutting the old stems out to encourage repeat flowers through the summer. Once the flowering period is over, resist the temptation to cut back the faded flower-stems until early spring, as they provide interest in the winter months.
Once established, lift and divide congested clumps in spring. Protect roots during the winter with a thick layer of organic mulch around the root zone.
