Tree hanging fat ball feeder - brass
These hanging sausage-shaped fat snax bird feeders are inspired by the seed pods of Kigelia africana, the African sausage tree.
They can be used individually or in pairs or groups, letting multiple species feed together. The horizontal rings provide plenty of perching space, so several small birds can feed at once without conflict.
Suet packed with other goodies is one of the best sources of energy for wild birds, and each of these will hold four suet balls. They can be easily loaded into the cage simply by sliding the ‘hat’ upwards.
Ideal for tree branches or crooks in the border, the elongated shape is also perfect for hanging on upright surfaces like a garden fence.
Made from steel with a spun brushed brass lid. Over time, the brass will tarnish and develop a natural patina. A little elbow grease and the scouring pad provided will bring it back to its former glory.
Also available in brushed copper, as well as powder-coated aluminium in a choice of putty or Crocus green (sold separately).
