Where it all begins. This is tailor made for gardeners who relish growing plants from seeds and cuttings. Nestled in a reusable jute gift bag, you'll find:
- A woven wooden trug - handy for carrying crops, cuttings, flowers and herbs and made from responsibly sourced wood.
- A packet of 'Cupani' sweet pea seeds - a deliciously scented traditional variety first introduced to the UK in 1699 (approx 20 seeds).
- Six galvanised steel root trainer pods - good for seedlings and cuttings with deep roots that need room to roam (especially sweet peas and beans). Will last a lifetime, are easy to clean and look smart in the greenhouse or potting shed.
- For Peat’s Sake coir compost - a mini 140g block of peat-free dehydrated coir compost. Add 750ml of water, wait for it to expand, and plant.
- Bamboo widger and dibber - a twin set of double-ended seedling tools for pricking out, potting on and planting out.
- Organic rooting gel - helps fresh cuttings root and establish to get them off to a strong start. Made from pure natural oils with no synthetic hormones or fungicides.
- 10 chalkboard labels & pen - a generous size with a white wax pencil to keep track of seedlings and cuttings.
- Shell on Earth crushed whelk shells - finely crushed recycled whelk shells produced in Wales. Ideal for top dressing small pots or mixing into compost to improve drainage.
