Vinca minor f. alba 'Gertrude Jekyll'

lesser periwinkle

Product Image
This compact, evergreen perennial creates a dense carpet of small, dark green leaves, making it an excellent choice for ground cover in sun or partial shade.

From April to September, Vinca minor f. alba 'Gertrude Jekyll' produces a profusion of pure white flowers, which brighten shaded areas and add long-lasting interest. Its low-growing habit is ideal for suppressing weeds and filling gaps in borders, under shrubs, or along paths.

Perfect for smaller spaces, this reliable and low-maintenance plant thrives in a variety of soil types and adds year-round interest and seasonal blooms to beds, borders, or woodland themed gardens.

How to care for Vinca minor f. alba Gertrude Jekyll:

Plant into a well-prepared border or woodland margin with plenty of organic matter (well-rotted compost) - Vinca does not like to dry out during the summer.

To prevent the plant from spreading, cut back any unwanted shoots in spring, and where necessary, lift and divide congested clumps at this time.
