This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  'Showboat Midnight' - a prolific, velvety, deep-purple flowering verbena with wonderfully textured, serrated, mid-green foliage. Once mature, these jumbo seedlings have a mounding, arching habit with large flower heads and are perfect for pots, containers and hanging baskets.
  
  Grown individually in cell trays, each plant measures about 7 - 10cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). Delivered in plastic-free packaging, they are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse, where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting outside after all risk of frost has passed.
