Bright green foliage with golden-tipped shoots in spring, ‘Gold Tips’ is smothered in honey-scented bell shaped flowers between February and April. This small, slow-growing evergreen shrub lends height and textural contrast when surrounded by other acid loving plants.
How to care for Erica × veitchii Gold Tips:
Plant 'Gold Tips' with a blend of ericaceous compost and well-rotted compost and perhaps some ericoid mycorrhizal fungi in the planting hole. During the growing season water regularly, applying a half-strength application of a balanced liquid fertiliser every four weeks. After the plant has flowered trim with shears or secateurs to remove the dead flowers and encourage bushy growth.
