  • A tender, evergreen perennial houseplant, and a true gem in the realm of rex-type begonias. Its compact form showcases intricately mottled silver and green spiral leaves, adorned with a deep purple centre fringed with charming pink hues, while a narrow purple margin gracefully wraps around the edges. The reverse side of the leaf boasts a striking red shade, adding to its allure. 'Rocheart' holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, further highlighting its exceptional qualities. Pink flowers add to the plant’s charm periodically throughout the year.

We’re proud to support our British growers, and having been raised by one of our trusted UK nurseries, this indoor plant has a low carbon footprint, which makes it perfect for an eco-friendly collection or gift.

  • Home care:
Rex begonias require special care during the summer months. It's best to keep them in shaded areas and provide ample watering, ensuring proper drainage and maintaining a humid atmosphere around the plants. Avoid wetting the leaves or the crown.

As winter approaches, reduce the frequency of watering. Allow the compost surface to dry out before watering again. These begonias thrive with a minimum winter temperature of 13°C (55°F) across all varieties.

For optimal growth, feed them every two weeks from May to September using a high nitrogen fertiliser.
