Product Image
Palmately divided 20cm (8in) or more across, comprising 6-8 toothed, narrowly ovate, silvery leaflets with dark green around the veins and margins and red leaf stalks. ‘Benitochiba’ is an award-winning, rhizomatous perennial, that's perfect for adding colour and interest to a north-facing windowsill. Throughout the summer, they can also be used to spruce up summer pots and hanging baskets on shadier patios.

We’re proud to support our British growers, and having been raised by one of our trusted UK nurseries, this indoor plant has a low carbon footprint, which makes it perfect for an eco-friendly collection or gift.

How to care for Begonia Benitochiba:

Rex begonias require special care during the summer months. It's best to keep them in shaded areas and provide ample watering, ensuring proper drainage and maintaining a humid atmosphere around the plants. Avoid wetting the leaves or the crown.

As winter approaches, reduce the frequency of watering. Allow the compost surface to dry out before watering again. These begonias thrive with a minimum winter temperature of 13°C (55°F) across all varieties.

For optimal growth, feed them every two weeks from May to September using a high nitrogen fertiliser.
