Aeonium haworthii

pinwheel

Product Image
This succulent forms attractive rosettes of fleshy, grey-green leaves with a hint of red that deepens in direct sunlight. It readily produces offshoots, allowing it to develop into a compact, shrubby form when given enough space. In summer, it produces panicles of small, pale yellow or pink-tinged flowers, adding a delicate touch to its bold structure.

Aeonium haworthii thrives in well-draining cacti compost and is ideal for terrariums, pots, or even window sills. Its easy-care nature makes it a perfect choice for adding a touch of evergreen beauty to brightly lit, indoor spaces.

How to care for Aeonium haworthii:

Plant aeoniums in containers using a loam-based compost with added sharp grit to ensure free drainage. Position in full sun and water with rainwater, if possible, during the active growing season, allowing the compost to dry out slightly between waterings.

Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertiliser in spring and summer. During their winter dormancy, avoid watering altogether. These succulents are adapted to dry conditions, storing moisture in their fleshy leaves, so take care not to overwater.

As they are not frost hardy, move them to a dry, frost-free space for winter to protect them from cold damage.
