Scilla 'Pink Giant'
glory of the snow bulbs (syn. Chionodoxa Pink Giant)
- Position: full sun
- Soil: any well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average
- Flowering period: March to April
- Hardiness: fully hardy
Plant these liberally and you'll love the display of soft pink flowers that appear in early spring. Disease-resistant, easy to grow and very low maintenance, these bulbs can be left in the ground for several years, where they will spread to form a generous swathe. - Garden care: Plant bulbs 8-10cm deep and 8-10cm apart in autumn, in clumps or naturalistic drifts where they can remain undisturbed for several years. Deadhead as the flowers fade to prevent self-seeding, or lift and divide congested clusters in summer when fully dormant.
- Harmful if eaten
