This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

Choose this gorgeous, vibrant pink Verbena for its long flowering period, either as a superb ground cover plant or to add panache and charm to pots and containers. Bred for mildew resistance and tolerance of extreme weather conditions, the intensity colour of this variety softens around the edges of the petals and blends beautifully with its velvety green foliage.
Grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can then either be planted outside into a well-prepared bed, or used to fill decorative pots and hanging baskets for the patio (9cm plants don’t need potting on but require initial frost protection). Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feeding with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer will promote even more flowers to form.
