Superb architectural perennial with huge heads of dark pink-purple flowers in late summer held above strong burgundy stems. Perfect for the back of a border, it is a magnet for butterflies, and the fluffy seedheads look good well into winter. - Garden care: Cut back and compost the stems after flowering. Remove unwanted seedlings as they appear.
