This incredibly handy polyurethane cleaning block works a treat on all bladed tools including secateurs, shears, pruning saws and garden knives. It’s excellent for swiftly removing resin, sap, grime and (most satisfyingly) rust to restore tools to their former glory.
Add a few drops of water to the tool blade then rub the Crean Mate back and forth as you would a rubber eraser. Dry off the blade and wipe it over with a few drops of camellia oil ready for next use.
Please note: the block has a fairly abrasive texture and might scratch highly polished surfaces, so do give it a patch test before using on your best blades.
