Sitting on a bench, taking stock of the work you’ve done and deciding what to do next, is one of the great pleasures of gardening. This sturdy FSC acacia bench is available as a compact two-seater for small gardens, or a larger bench with room for three.
The simple, classic design features a crossed back to contrast with the slatted seat and braced legs to add sturdiness. An antique grey wash sets the wood off beautifully.
Acacia timber is moisture resistant and won’t readily scratch or warp, so it’s an excellent wood for outdoor use. With a little care it’ll keep its appearance and quality for many years. Besides being durable, acacia is fast growing and sustainable so it’s a responsible choice for the environment too.
The bench will be delivered packed flat for self-assembly and comes with full instructions.
Care and maintenance
Acacia furniture will need to be shielded from the elements when not in use. A weatherproof cover will protect it from scorching sun and heavy rain. Through the winter months, we recommend storing the bench in a cool, sheltered but well-ventilated place like a shed or garage.
In time you may need to lightly sand the top layer of wood and apply a wood protector to refresh the bench. As wood is a natural product that can expand and shrink under different weather conditions, we recommend that you tighten the screws every now and then.
Wash off any dirt and debris with a mild soapy solution and a soft sponge or cloth.
