Narcissus 'Eaton Song'
miscellaneous daffodil bulbs
- Position: full sun or partial shade
- Soil: well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: fast-growing
- Flowering period: March to April
- Hardiness: fully hardy
- Bulb size: 10/11
Initially the outer ring of 'petals' is a rich yellow, but as the bloom matures, it softens to rich cream. The inner cup holds its colour well though, so by the end of the season, the flowers appear somewhat bicoloured. This, and the fact that there are usually two or three flowers on each stem, makes this little daffodil particularly eyecatching - either when lining the edges of a path, filling gaps at the front of the border or adding colour on the patio. - Garden care: Wearing gloves plant bulbs 10-15cm (4-6in) deep from late summer to early autumn. After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, deadhead and allow the leaves to die back naturally.
- Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten; skin irritant
